Bundling Up your Cat for an Outdoor Walk

broken image

Does your cat like to go outdoors for walks in all kinds of weather? If so, make sure she’s dressed accordingly. Obviously in the warmer months your cat will be fine with her own fur coat. Just make sure there is plenty of fresh water accessible during the day. For the colder months your cat may need an extra layer of protection and warmth. The Maine Coon won’t need a coat unless it’s freezing or below for a long period of time. However, a domestic shorthair cat should have a sweater on when temperatures start falling. Low temperatures below 30 will require a coat for extra warmth and comfort. Bundling up your cat on outdoor walks in the winter can keep her comfortable and encourage her to continue with her daily walks for exercise.
