Many people are now using vaping devices in lieu of traditional smoking. Is vaping harmful to pets? Vaping devices have cartridges that contain nicotine, THC oil, or a mixture of the two. The content come in various flavors and tend to contain additives and chemicals that can react with each other and produce by-products that are harmful to pets. Another important concern with vaping devices is the possibility of the cartridge being ingested by pets. The nicotine and cannabinoids (THC) inside the cartridges is harmful to pets. Take note that ingesting even small amounts of nicotine by pets can have disastrous results. Smaller pets are more vulnerable to toxicity as the severity of illness is generally dose-dependent. Because nicotine is in liquid form, it is rapidly absorbed in the body in higher concentrations than when it’s in traditional cigarettes.

If your pet has ingested or has access to vaping devices and/or is displaying signs of toxicity, bring him to the nearest veterinarian Las Vegas NV ASAP.
