Did you know that different types of dogs need different types of grooming brushes and combs? The Golden Retriever, however, has two healthy coats and needs a deep brush to get the fur shiny and unmated and untangled. Your vet or local pet store associate can help you pick out the best brush. A Golden with matted hair or tangles should use a slicker brush for grooming. Wire-pin brushes work great with the longer coats whether the coat is straight, curly or wooly (aka thick).
