Is your dog having trouble staying hydrated? If you’re not sure there are a few ways you can tell. First, gently pull at his skin and see if it quickly goes back into place or if it takes its time. If it’s slow then your dog may need to be drinking more. If it falls back into place fairly quickly then it most likely indicates that he’s fine. Another way to check is to lift up your dog’s upper gum or lift down his lower gum. The gums should be pink or red. Light pink or even white is an indication of lack of water. It can also be an indication of anemia. If your dog has either of these symptoms, please call your vet as your dog may be dehydrated.
