No matter why you find yourself stuck inside when you’d normally be out and about, you may be tempted to interact with your kitty more than usual while you’re at home. Your cat might like the extra attention. Then again, he may not.
If your cat is used to you being gone during the day, he may be used to the solitude. He may not like that you’re around!
Let him dictate your interactions during the day. If he’s curled up on the bed, let him sleep instead of trying to wake up him to play with him.
If he is awake, try interacting with your pet. Pull out his favorite toy or try giving him a few treats. Let him curl up on the couch with you while you watch a movie, but don’t force him to sit with you if he doesn’t want to.
