Your guinea pig is a social animal and he will enjoy interacting with you and your family. If you leave your guinea pig is left alone for long periods of time, he will get lonely. Position his cage where he can observe and engage with the family in safety. Avoid putting his cage in the main flow of household traffic. He needs privacy and quiet to rest throughout the day. Plan on time daily with your guinea pig outside the cage for exercise, socialization and mental stimulation.
