Petting-Induced Aggression In Cats

broken image

Cats are creatures known by many pet owners to be sensitive and fussy. Cats do love to get cuddling times with their respective owners and people in the household but you should know that most cats like to get physical stimulation up to a certain point only. If a cat is overstimulated, it can trigger some forms of aggressive behavior, and cat owners should be aware of this fact. You can continue to give him physical stimulation and your normal cuddling time, but if you notice you have reached a certain point in terms of stimulation, you should stop; otherwise, you might get nips or even swipes at your hands from your beloved furry feline friend. Whenever you are giving your beloved pet some physical stimulation, you should stay alert for certain body language changes such as lashing of the tail, twitching skin movements, the flickering of the ears, or low growling.
