Preventing your Dog from Tracking Dirt into the House

broken image

Don’t you just hate it when you’ve just cleaned and mopped the floor and out of nowhere your dog comes through the area tracking in dirt, mud and who knows what else. So what can you do? You can set up a mud room or room that your dog enters first before entering the house. Here you can wipe his feet off prior to him entering the home. You can also have a packet of pet wipes at the door so you can wipe down his paws and any other dirty spots. In addition, use mats or rugs inside your door that will allow most of the dirt to fall from your dog’s paws as soon as he enters the home. If he’s too hyper to wash down, allow him to go indoors and straight to a crate or closed off area to rest until you are able to wipe his paws.
