Did you know that your particular town, city, region or area may require you to register your dog? Your vet can help you determine what your particular area requires. Most places require that you a least register your dog and show proof of a rabies vaccination. When registering, you will need your vet to issue you a signed certificate stating your dog was vaccinated for rabies. You usually have to submit a fee along with the certificate. Your local clerk will then issue you an ID tag for your dog and registration form for the area. This helps the dog to be identified should he be picked up by animal control or found by someone and turned in. The ID tag has the name of the town or city or county and a number that connects the dog with your contact information. Learn more here or ask your vet Southern Utah for more information.
