What can your cat actually see?

broken image

You have a cat at home who seems to go about her day in some very different ways than you do, and it appears to be because of her sense of sight. This makes you wonder what she can actually see. Is her vision a lot different than yours?

There are a few different ways in which your pet sees your environment in an alternate way. She has a wider field of vision, and can see much better in low-light environments than you can. Your little fur ball has trouble seeing colors like red and pink and tends to be a bit nearsighted. This means that your pet has good eyesight, but it is quite a bit different than your own. Her vision is tailored to her survival needs and this has helped her wild ancestors get her to where she is today. Your local Waterdown, ON vet clinic can offer additional advice.
