Why Do Dogs Bark?

broken image

It’s true that some dogs bark a lot and other dogs barely bark at all. Different breeds bark more than other breeds. For instance, some of the more popular barking breeds include the Pomeranian, Yorkie, Chihuahua and other small dogs. Large dog breeds bark as well. Labradors and Golden Retrievers are just a few examples of large breed barkers. So why do they bark? Some dogs bark to scare off intruders or strangers. The dog is guarding is hope so he sounds the alarm. Other dogs may bark because they are board and would really like some extra attention. Still, other dogs may simply bark because they hear things going on outside but they can’t see and so they are a bit nervous and just bark just in case. Dogs bark for many reasons, but if your dog doesn’t usually bark and all of the sudden he is barking non-stop, please call your local veterinary clinic London ON.
