There are many things that can contribute to a change in appetite in your cat. It’s important to take a look at your cat’s health and schedule over the past several days. Ask yourself if you recently changed your cat’s food. He may not like it. Did you change from soft to crunchy? He may have problems with his teeth and it’s too uncomfortable for him to chew. Did you change from crunchy food to soft or wet food? Your cat may not like the soft type of food. Cats are known to be extremely picky at times. If there was no change in food, ask yourself if there was a change in routine. Anything that happened that doesn’t usually happen could’ve set your cat off. Is your cat acting normally besides not eating? Does he have heavy breathing which could indicate pain? Take notes and give your Columbia, MD vet a call. Click here for more information.
